Happy Christmas

The Members of the Amovate Committee would like to thank everyone for their support during 2011 and wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year.

Christmas Party

Bob & Oggy are looking for any spare Christmas decorations you may have that you would be willing to donate for their Christmas Party.

If you have any to donate, please e mail us on info@amovate.com and we will arrange for collection.

They would also appreciate any gifts for Raffle Prizes.

Many Thanks

George “the Meat”

Many people on Vale da Telha use the services of “Bacon George” who supplies groceries of various kinds from his base on the south coast.  He has asked us to let everyone know that his van has expired, and he won’t be able to deliver to Vale da Telha before next January.  However, if anyone would like to make an order by email to his wife Julie on jtburke@live.co.uk soon, he’ll be able to organise a bulk order if arrangements can be made to go down to Burgau to collect.  If you need any information on what he’s able to supply this year, please call him on 918830134 or 282697368.

EDP

Check Your Electricity Meter !!!

For those customers on a dual tariff (cheaper electricity at night) please check the time on your meter.

It has come to our attention that presumably, due to the number of power cuts, many EDP customers’ clocks on their meters are showing the incorrect time.  This will obviously have a major affect on those of us who are incorrectly assuming that we are using electricity at the cheaper rate.

IF YOUR CLOCK IS INCORRECT –

  • Phone EDP on 800 506 506 (wait for all the messages and music to finish)
  • Ask for someone to speak English (if required) – and then quote your Cod. Ident. Local (10 digit number on your bill)
