Farmácia Aljezur Walk for Charity

 

Similar to previous years, the Pharmacy of Aljezur will hold on May 19 (month of the heart) a walk for solidarity with a view to promoting a healthy lifestyle and raising funds for the Group of Scouts of Aljezur 1303.

 The Scout Group 1303 -Aljezur, of the National Listening Body (CNE), reopened in October 2018. Scouting is a movement that promotes education for peace, through a spirit of understanding and solidarity among peoples, awakening in the respect for interculturality, making them true citizens of the world. It is an educational and formative movement, a non-formal school of education, created with the purpose of contributing to the integral education of children and young people of both sexes.

 At present the scouting project consists of raising funds for the development of outdoor activities and we want to help them.

 The philosophy of Aljezur Pharmacy is to provide a service of proximity and personalized that meets the needs of our clients and friends. I hereby invite you to be part of our belief and ask for your support, sponsoring this event that will be summed up one day with a walk in the rural area of ​​Aljezur, culminating with a dance class, blood pressure measurement and glycemia .

 We would like to reward participants with gifts, water and bags, for this we count on your help and about 200 participants !!

Update – Important Meetings

The Câmara has now advised us that the meeting on the 7th February has been moved to 12th February due to circumstances beyond their control.  Same time – 18:00h, same place – Espaço + (next to the Social Security Office).  Apologies for the changes.

Amovate have had confirmation of two very important Meetings taking place in February.

  • Firstly, Aljezur Câmara are inviting Residents of Vale Da Telha to a Meeting at the Espaço + (near the Social Security Offices) in Aljezur on the 7th February at 18.00h. At this meeting the Camâra are proposing to update the residents of VDT as to the future proposals for the area.
  •  The Second Meeting on the 19th February at 15.00h  is for British Expats.  Staff of the British Consulate, will attend and endeavour to give information about Brexit. This Meeting is also at the Espaço + (near the Social Security Offices) in Aljezur.

 The Câmara intend to have printed hand outs confirming these meetings, and these will be available at Amovate at The Old School House, and local Café/Restaurants very shortly.

The British Consul, Simona Demuro, will be in Aljezur on Tuesday 19 February, to meet members of the British community in the area to respond to questions and concerns about the UK’s exit from the European Union. Simona will attend a public session at the Espaço + from 15.30 to 16.30, where she will be interested to hear of any concerns British residents have about the possible impact of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.

This session has been organised with the kind co-operation of the Municipal authorities in Aljezur. Places are limited and registration is therefore essential.
