State of Emergency & Deconfinement Update

Decree 6/2021 Regulating the state of Emergency from 00.00 hrs 5th April (midnight 4th/5th) to 23.59 hrs 15th April has been extended until 23.59 hrs 18th April 2021 and can be downloaded in English here.  

The current terms will remain until 18th April

De-confinement: Council of Ministers decision 15th April 2021

At Level one  are four municipalities that, for the second consecutive biweekly evaluation, have an incidence rate greater than 240 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in the last 14 days. This group comprises the municipalities of Moura, Odemira, Portimão and Rio Maior,  which will return to the previous phase which was introduced  on 15th March shown in the orange table below. A daily travel ban will also return to these municipalities with neighbouring muncipalities as was in place until 4th April.

At level two are the  following municipalities with incidence rates of over 120/100,000 which NOT proceed to the next stage of de-confinement on 19th April and will remain at the measures at the 2nd Phase of deconfinement that became effective on 5th April  in the blue table below: Alandroal, Albufeira, Beja, Carregal do Sal, Figueira da Foz, Marinha Grande and Penela.
