Below are the results from last Thursday, a bit chilly but no rain.
The course was upped for the Portuguese professionals that were playing a tournament so the greens were like lightning…A bit too quick for some of us.
I must apologise to Liam for not mentioning the fact that this was his last society day before moving back to England and he won the day with an excellent 34 points…Well Done….Safe Travels and hopefully we will see you back here on holiday sometime.
VDT GS Witnessed its first Hole In One when Steve Young carressed his ball from tee to green on the 12th par 3 ….Well Done Steve, Great to witness the shot.
At the presentation on sale was our first attempt to bolster the funds with the sale of tickets on the Football Card, not many about but after giving out the prize we made €22 profit….Hopefully more in March .
Which leads me onto our next day which unfortunately on 29th March. I did try to rearrange the date but they only had start times between 7.20am and 8.20am which I thought a bit early for the 40 min travel time.
Another slight alteration is that Restaurante Font do Vale is closed on this day so I am trying to negotiate another venue.
I am speaking with Hugo and this will probably mean a reasonable set menu with a small choice of food.
It would be good to know what you think, but Hugo’s bar is now a good venue as a back up in my opinion.
Beddys Birthday Bash on the 29th March means you have loads of time to practice and try and wrench the trophy off Steve Scott the only winner so far on both the 2016 and 2017 days.
