School transport – Changes to the Vale da Telha Circuit

Parents and guardians of students from the 2nd and 3rd cycles of the Aljezur Schools Group and of secondary school students from the Lagos School Groups are hereby informed. Aljezur – Lagos – Aljezur – Odeceixe, as of September 15, 2021, the line of Public Passenger Transport Services – Western Line starts operating.

This line will operate on weekdays, on the Aljezur – Espartal – Vale da Telha – Arrifana – Vales – Aljezur circuit, and may also be used by other passengers, in addition to students.

The transport of children who attend the Aljezur Kindergarten and students who attend the 1st cycle of Aljezur, remains unchanged, continuing to be done by municipal vehicles for public transport of children.

It is further informed that in the new transport model, free of charge will be maintained for 2nd and 3rd cycle and secondary education students, as long as they reside more than 3km from the education and teaching establishment, in accordance with article 20 of Decree-Law no. 21/2019, of January 30, although it is necessary to use a school pass, the cost of which is free for students.

The circuit and stops are also maintained in the same way as the previous year, being available for consultation here . The new line of time the West can be found  here  and can be requested clarifications and information by No. 282243329,  at the time comprised between 9.00 am and 15.30.

Collection for Camilla’s Family

This is Camilla Lazzaroni, my sister, who died in the early hours of 9/12 in Vale da Telha in Aljezur. I saw that several people here from Portugal want to help us, the wake will take place in Aljezur, we still do not know the date of the wake because we are waiting for the release of the body. I’m leaving here some collection points for those who made themselves available to help us at this very difficult time, I will also leave here the bank details of our dear friend Sheyla Gomes who is helping me solve all the bureaucratic part, wake, documents, the coming of my mother (from Brazil to Portugal).  These are our proposals for the new municipal cycle. It is the result of the work developed over the last few months together with the people of Aljezur.

This electoral program reflects the responsibility and commitment we assume to all Aljezurenses.

Together, always for the people.

Encouragement of own housing through support for self-construction in municipal subdivisions.

Decrease in IMI on long-term leases.

Local Housing Strategy:

  1. Recovery of city property and insertion in the rental market;
  2. Construction of residential dwellings for lease;
  3. Lease support program (income support):
  • For low-income families;
  • To fix the population, namely, “Professionals under Mobility Regime”;

Reorganization of Municipal services with a view to improving the working conditions of employees and, consequently, increasing the efficiency of services to the citizen.

Creation of Citizen’s Desk and decentralization by the boards;

Creation of a fast service channel for simple urban operations , licensing and business investments;

Decentralization of Chamber Meetings and Attendances ;

Promote greater involvement of citizens in local administration , through the implementation of the Participatory Budget;

Implementation of the strategy of the LOCAL SDG Program (United Nations Programme);

Receive and incorporate new competences emanating from the central state ;

Transmission of meetings through digital means for access by all citizens.

Arrangement of the various opinions referring to the Detailed Plan for Vale da Telha already prepared, aiming at its final version and consequent conclusion;

Creation of a multidisciplinary office to carry out the detailed plan for Vale da Telha and its follow-up;

Elaboration/implementation of Urban Management Plans (historic centers “Aljezur, Odeceixe and Bordeira”) aiming at traffic, parking, services and activities, occupation and use of space;

Creation of more parking pockets in high affluence places; Creation of a smooth mobility plan (bike and eco lanes);

Realization of the Monte Clérigo Detail Plan ;

Continue to carry out a survey and elimination of architectural barriers to restricted mobility;

Continue the intervention to safeguard pedestrians, houses   and improve the flow of traffic on Rua 25 de Abril in Aljezur;

Creation of a public transport network and respective infrastructure within the municipality and reinforcement of regional mobility;

Amendment to the Urban Building Regulation, adapting it to sustainability needs, valuing sustainable urban interventions.

Review of territorial management instruments – PDM, Agricultural Reserve, POOC, Park Plan (PNSACV) >>> Monitoring and articulation with the competent authorities and decision-makers to safeguard the territory and the natural identity of the municipality in future reviews of land use plans territory at national and regional level;

Valuing the native forest through its inclusion in territorial management instruments;

Demand the safeguarding of the identity of the territory and natural resources in the Mira Irrigation Perimeter area and due compatibility with the Natural Park;

Advocate for compliance with the law regarding wild camping and encourage the development of alternative solutions in the field of motor-caravaning;

Requirement and collaboration with responsible entities , aiming at efficient and consequential procedures in the inspection of the undue occupation of the territory through buildings, structures or activities;

Actions with entrepreneurs: raising awareness to promote Aljezur among external audiences, as a territory for project incubation;

Creation of Entrepreneurship Strategy: creation of coworking spaces;/business incubation/training space and bet on the creation of an entrepreneurship program with special focus on young people and entrepreneurs;

Financial program to support young entrepreneurship;

Internet: bet on the expansion of the optical fiber network.

Creation of a technical support office to access and implement the Recovery and Resilience Program and Portugal 2030;

Empowerment of Endogenous Products (Agriculture, fishing, arts, forests and forestry) through the creation of valorization programs;

Boosting the local circular economy through short consumption chains and a proximity program between local entrepreneurs and producers;

Aljezur Semper: Enhancement of territorial identity by investing in the tourist development of local products and services;

National and international promotion of local and territorial agents , through participation in strategic events;

Infrastructure of the 2nd phase of the Feiteirinha Industrial Zone and projection of the 3rd phase;

Dynamization and renovation of municipal markets ;

Encouragement/collaboration in the creation of an association representing the local economy;

Consolidation and affirmation of the co-management model of the Sudoeste Alentejano Costa Vicentina National Park;

Promotion, with the local community and visitors , of awareness actions for environmental protection, dissemination and enhancement of natural resources;

Boost environmental education programs to bring the young population closer to the environmental values ​​of a unique territory;

Implementation and adherence to programs to reduce the ecological footprint of the local population and visitors, through community involvement;

Adhesion and support of the municipality to monitoring projects , research in the area of ​​the Municipality and valorization of local fauna and flora;

Technical monitoring of recreational fishing issues with the competent authorities, based on the assessment and monitoring of areas prohibited to shellfishing and fishing;

Valorization and rehabilitation of water lines with a view to enhancing their biodiversity and capacity for visitation.

Strategy with local associative movement to diversify sports;

Continuation of the Active Vacation Program , to offer activities and occupation of free time during the Easter and Summer school holidays;

Reinforcement of dynamics to the associative movement of the county , through new regulation of support and programs;

Promoting cooperation in a network of local associations and organizing a cooperative event.

Local Strategy for the Forest:

  1. Valuing the Autochthonous Forest, involving forest owners, betting on its protection and differentiation, as an alternative to the intensive exploitation of the forest, creating added value to its products;
  2. Monitoring of forest management plans;
  3. Harmonize fuel strip cleaning actions with the conservation of high conservation value species and habitats;
  4. Reforestation awareness policy for a more resilient and economically interesting forest, through native species;

Cooperate with the competent entities and develop a program to support the establishment of doctors to guarantee a family doctor to all Aljezurenses; Continue to exert pressure on the competent authorities to establish family doctors in Aljezur;

Active follow-up and cooperation in the new national strategy to prioritize and streamline primary health care (health center);

Claim with the ARS the fulfillment of the agreement for the operation of the Mobile Health Unit and the reinforcement of health care for the most isolated populations;

Fighting and collaborating with the competent entities to expand the offer of specialties at the Health Center, as has already been done with physiotherapy and dentistry;

Support the University of Algarve – implementation of the Medicine course;

Continue to collaborate with health entities and with the local population in order to contribute to stopping the Covid-19 pandemic;

Develop a strategy of recognition and enhancement of the territory and its potential, with the educational community;

Maintenance of 100% payment of school passes for all students.

New communication strategy that allows the implementation of effective means of bilateral communication between the municipality and the citizens;

Creation of a training and incentive program with a view to implementing a municipal beach surveillance project;

The High Commissioner for Migration (ACM) has a Telephone Translation Service (STT) that can assist you in contacting the services or entities with which you wish to communicate.
The STT offers a database of 60 translators/interpreters that fluently speak, besides Portuguese, one or more languages, and is aimed at Portuguese speakers / foreigners who need to communicate with foreigners and Portuguese citizens / entities.
This service sets a telephone conference between the manager of the service institution, a translator and the migrant.
The service is available free of charge (the customer only pays for the phone call) every working day between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm, through the Migrant Support Line – 808 257 257 – if you call from land line, the call cost is the same as a local call; and +351 218 106 191 – if you call from a mobile phone.
