People of all nationalities gathered today (13th November) in the bright sunshine in Aljezur cemetery for the annual remembrance service.
This year the Royal British Legion was represented by Mr. James Howe and Mrs. Sue Salisbury-Howe. James gave a short address in both German and English which was much appreciated.
Readings and a poignant poem were given in Portuguese, English and German.
The local choir sang in various languages, including a haunting hymn from Brittany in Breton.
Your presence today and prayers for a united future meant so much to so many. Thank you.
