Results – September Society Day

We switched to the Alamos course due to maintenance being carried out on the Morgado course. Despite the last minute switch some excellent scores were posted.
Firstly the Vida Nova Winery sponsored competitions

‰  Balls lying on stones may be picked & dropped no nearer the hole on a playable surface

‰  Balls lying in mud/water on the fairway may be picked, cleaned & placed no nearer the hole

‰  Balls in waterlogged bunkers may be picked and dropped no nearer the hole

‰  Rake & Place in wet or unraked bunkers

‰  Should your Group fall behind the players in front, please follow the instructions of your Group Leader

‰  Espiche – should a ball land in the scrub and is not playable (the case almost every time) then treat as a Lateral Water hazard.

  1.  Members are welcome to invite Guests
  2. Green Fee reductions have now been negotiated with the majority of local Golf Clubs, including Penina, the Pestana Group, and Morgado/Alamos
  3. No Gimmes – please putt out
  4. Please ensure that you fill in your playing card with your name, date, handicap and ensure that it is signed by both your marker and yourself.
