Resumption of Work – Green Park at Aljezur River

Once the work of the Green Park of Ribeira de Aljezur was resumed, work began on setting up and preparing the land. The work was awarded to Joaquim Sequeira Vieira – Urbanização e Construções Unipessoal Ldª, for the value of three hundred and twenty-three thousand five hundred and sixteen euros and thirty-four cents, plus VAT, with a term of execution of one hundred and twenty days, followed.

The necessary conditions have now been created following the abandonment of the company which had won the first tender, so that the works can be resumed so that the works are completed before the beginning of the summer, which is inserted in the street “25 de Abril”, which has a priority function in the functional organization of the village. The concentration of uses is justified by the coexistence of the regional mobility axis (National Road 120), with the urban center.

The requalification takes place in an area of approximately 2,700 m2, and a 220 m extension of a riverside walk, in continuity of the existing pedestrian walk, in space resulting from demolitions of buildings that formed the front of the street.

The intervention will focus on the level of paved surfaces, the delimitation of the constructed margin with the inclusion of access to the natural margin and built elements that stimulate the permanence and the usufruct of the natural landscape of the banks and the longitudinal circulation of the urban front.

The road profile will also be improved with a small enlargement and inclusion of parking spaces.

This project / work was the object of formalization of candidacy for the CRESC ALGARVE 2020 program and has a contribution of 70% of funding.

“Opening of the period for public discussion of the Detail Plan for the Area of Specific

Intervention which is Paisagem Occeano”

José Manuel Lucas Gonçalves, President of the Municipal Council in Aljezur, makes public, for the purposes of the right of participation provided for in number 2 of article 89, of Decree-Law number 80/2015, of May 15, that at the meeting of the City Council held on February 26, 2019, it was decided unanimously to proceed to the opening of the public discussion period regarding the proposal of the >Detail Plan for the Area of Specific Intervention which is Paisagem Oceano>, for the period of 30 working days, beginning from April 2 to May 16, 2019.

During the period of public discussion, the proposal of the plan including all the documents that legally instruct it, are available for consultation from all interested parties, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the City Hall building, Technical Department of Works and Urban Planning (service desk) – located at Capitão Salgueiro Maia street, 8670 005 Aljezur, as well as on the Council´s website at www.cm-aljezur.pt, during which time suggestions may be made, as well as, to submit information on any issues that may be considered in the ongoing proceedings.

Responses must be submitted in writing, addressed to the mayor of the city, by means of a specific form to be obtained at the service desk or on the website identified above and delivered by postal mail, directly to the above mentioned address, or electronically to the address:

general @ cm-aljezur.pt.

For general knowledge, this notice was drawn up and others of equal content, and then it will be displayed in the usual public places, as well as on the website of the municipality www.cm-aljezur.pt.

Important help required

In the past week Amovate have sent out notification to all people we have on our data base which includes Amovate Members, Amovate Post Box Holders, Tennis and Golf Society Members informing them of important meetings that are about to happen in the next 2 weeks. However we have had several returned as the email address we have is either incorrect or has been changed.

For Information!

For information: Parking on a roundabout is illegal. This includes the Pines roundabout at the entrance to Vale da Telha.

The GNR are actively policing this roundabout on VDT adjacent to the 3 bars. It appears the main reason is that cars and other vehicles stop and or park on the roundabout to either meet people or to collect post and parcels…….

You are warned, use the car parking areas close by and save yourself a lot of Euros….Even the CCT Van now parks in the car park and walks to deliver the letters in the Post Boxes.
