Pilates Classes Move to Monday & Thursday

BODY CONTROL PILATES 10am Mondays and Thursdays at the Old School House, Vales.

This class is not a general exercise Pilates class. The instructor was trained in the UK at the Lynn Robinson school of Body Control Pilates.

Body Control Pilates, can change the way you look, the way you feel and the way you move. If you want a new body – reshaped, rebalanced and realigned – a body that is longer, leaner, more supple and yet with a hidden strength, then Body Control Pilates is for you.

What is the perfect body? One that not only looks fantastic with a flat stomach, slender thighs and buttocks and toned arms, but one that is healthy on the inside as well, with efficient circulatory, respiratory and lymphatic systems.  Practiced regularly, pilates exercises will strengthen your deep postural muscles, gradually building your own ‘girdle of strength’ to protect your back. Capoeira Classes

Capoeira is a game of attacking and defensive movements, for the first time developed by the African slaves that were brought to Brazil in colonial times. Capoeira combines music, singing en movements, resulting in a fascinating game. Capoeira is of the people and can be practiced by anyone, man or woman, youth or elderly, and is good for body and mind equally.

Professor Filósofo was formed by mestre Marreta, within the capoeira school Berimbau de Ouro. He has experience with giving classes in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and at various workshops in the Netherlands, France and Switzerland. Pilates for a Healthy Back

Starting Wednesday the 16th of May.

 Why Pilates?

Traditional Pilates exercises are designed to strengthen and engage your core, waist and back muscles, helping improve posture and prevent injury.

What can you expect from your class?

You should expect to learn an ordered series of exercises that work the entire body from top to bottom. Expect it to be efficient, by decreasing overall repetitions and increasing the work of each motion, you will obtain rapid and long-lasting results.

Plan to work with no impact to your joints. Prepare to strengthen and stretch you body during every exercise, rotating positions from lying to sitting to kneeling. Get ready yourself to activate your mind as you exercise, developing and increasing your awareness of your body.
